As of Wednesday, the referendum seeking to overturn Utah's anti-union law reached the required number of signatures in 17 of the state's 29 Senate districts – two more districts than the minimum number needed to qualify for the ballot.
The effort hit the statewide signature goal earlier this week.
The latest district to reach the required number of signatures is SD11, represented by Sen. Daniel Thatcher of the Utah Forward Party.
The referendum has met the signature goal in seven of the 16 districts of Senators who voted for the bill - all Republicans.
- Sen. John Johnson
- Sen. Cal Musselman
- Sen. Jerry Stevenson
- Senate President Stuart Adams
- Sen. Todd Weiler
- Sen. Dan McCay
- Sen. Kirk Cullimore.
As of Tuesday afternoon, state election officials announced they had verified 171,121 signatures while rejecting 45,878 – a verification rate of just under 79%.
