Grab your popcorn. The Utah Republican Party announced Tuesday a dual strategy to combat court-ordered redistricting reforms and potentially repeal the voter-approved independent redistricting commission established by Proposition 4 in 2018.

The GOP is launching a statewide referendum to overturn the congressional map (Option C) that lawmakers just approved last week.

They're also aiming to collect 70,000 signatures to submit a new law directly to the legislature that would repeal Proposition 4 entirely.
